Irwin/Bridges family papers

J. F. Harrison letter

The letter was a draft written on newsprint to Nathaniel E. Harris, who had been serving Bibb County, Georgia, in the Georgia House of Representatives. Harrison makes some argument that involves a judge Heard, Mr. Hodgeson, and Governor Henry D. McDaniel. At one point he states "it was assumed that Gov. McDaniel had exerted his influence to induce Judge Heard to vote for Atlanta."

The cash book (1839 - 1843) recorded receipts and disbursements, citing receipts from total sales and from notes due and disbursements for Nickelson's payments of notes and purchases of property and goods. James Bellar Knowles journal

The journal gives an almost daily account of young Knowles' life in Georgia, mostly in Bersheba, Henry County, and, on the last page, his entry into medical school in Nashville, Tennessee.
